How it works

Three simple steps

1

Paste the link

Copy the video URL and paste it into the input box.

2

Pick a format

Choose your quality — video, audio, thumbnail or subtitles.

3

Download

Save the file to your device. No registration, no limits.

Facebook doesn't provide a download button for most videos. You can add them to a Watch Later list inside the platform, but that doesn't give you the actual file. DownloadClip.pro saves any public Facebook video — posts, Reels, Watch videos, and Facebook Live replays — as an MP4 directly to your device.

Three types of Facebook video links all work here: the full post URL (facebook.com/username/videos/...), fb.watch short links from shared messages, and Facebook Watch URLs (facebook.com/watch?v=...). Copy whichever you have — they're all handled the same way.

Choose HD (up to 720–1080p) for the sharpest quality or SD (360–480p) for a smaller file size. No Facebook account is needed. No registration, no browser extension, no software to install.

Download Facebook Videos in HD Quality

Facebook serves most videos in two quality tiers: HD (720p, sometimes 1080p for high-quality uploads) and SD (360–480p). HD is the right choice for any video you plan to watch on a laptop, desktop, or TV — the quality difference is significant on any screen larger than a phone. SD is practical when you're downloading many videos and storage space is limited.

The available quality options are fetched automatically when you paste the link. If HD isn't available for a particular video (older uploads or those with low-quality sources), only SD will appear.

Download Facebook Reels and Watch Videos

Facebook Reels are the platform's vertical short-form video format — they're stored and linked the same as regular posts. Copy the Reel's post link and paste it here. Facebook Watch videos use the format facebook.com/watch?v=[ID] — paste the Watch URL directly and the video is fetched the same way.

Facebook Live replays that have been saved to a creator's profile or page after the stream ended are also downloadable as regular post links.

Works With All Facebook Link Formats

Facebook generates several different URL formats for the same video depending on how you access it. The full post URL includes the username and video ID. The fb.watch short link is what you get when someone shares a video directly in Messenger. Watch URLs come from the Facebook Watch tab. All three formats resolve correctly — paste any of them and the downloader handles the redirect automatically.

Shared preview links from Facebook DMs sometimes expire after a few hours. If a link doesn't work, navigate directly to the video on facebook.com and copy the URL from your browser address bar instead.

Download Facebook Videos on Mobile and Desktop

On desktop: Copy the Facebook video URL from your browser, paste it above, choose HD or SD, and click Download. The MP4 saves to your Downloads folder.

On Android: Open DownloadClip.pro in Chrome, paste the Facebook link, and the file downloads to your Downloads folder automatically.

On iPhone: Open DownloadClip.pro in Safari, paste the link, select your quality, and tap Download. The file saves to Files → On My iPhone → Downloads. To add it to Camera Roll, open the file in Files, tap Share, then Save Video.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I download videos from private Facebook Groups?

No. Private group content requires Facebook authentication. Only publicly accessible videos are downloadable.

What's the difference between HD and SD?

HD is 720p or 1080p — sharp and clear on any screen. SD is 360–480p — acceptable on small screens, visibly lower quality on larger displays.

Do fb.watch short links work?

Yes. fb.watch links redirect to the full video automatically — paste them the same way as a full URL.

Can I download Facebook Reels?

Yes. Copy the Reel's post link from the ··· menu or address bar and paste it here.

Can I download Facebook Live replays?

Yes, if the replay was saved to the creator's profile or page as a public post after the live ended.

Does this work without a Facebook account?

Yes. Public Facebook videos are accessible without any account.

Can I extract just the audio from a Facebook video?

Yes. Choose MP3 from the format options and only the audio track is saved.

What if the Facebook video link doesn't work?

If a shared link has expired, navigate directly to the video on facebook.com and copy the URL from your browser address bar. That URL is always fresh.
